Outgoing Visiting professor/researcher

In the framework of the University Programme for International Mobility, lecturers, researchers, research fellows, post-doctoral fellows or similar categories of young scholars belonging to the University of Catania may carry out periods of mobility abroad both for teaching purposes (VISITING PROFESSOR) and for research purposes (VISITING RESEARCHER).

Mobility can refer to variable periods of stay and each department can autonomously determine their duration. Procedures relating to mobility for teaching and research purposes will be promoted and managed by the departments within the framework of their own priorities.

Outgoing VISITING mobilities shall take place according to the following procedures:

The lecturer/professor will send a request to the Head of Department enclosing a letter of invitation/acceptance from a host institution or other documentation specifying the timing and content of the teaching/research activity to be carried out abroad
the Head of Department will release the lecturer/professor the authorisation
after receiving the authorisation, the lecturer/professor will fill the online form (to inform the Rector, ADI, ARI and AGAP)
After returning from the mobility, the lecturer/professor must submit a final report (certifying the status of Visiting Professor/Visiting Researcher, dates and contents of the mobility) to the department International Didactic Unit a final report to be released by the foreign partner for the recognition of the activity carried out.
The department International Didactic Unit will take care of data collection for statistical purposes
