International Credit Mobility - ICM
The Erasmus+ KA171 Action offers the opportunity for international mobility beyond European borders. Through International Credit Mobility (ICM), European Higher Education Institutions can now apply to their respective National Agencies for funding to send and receive students, PhD candidates, teaching staff, and administrative staff.
The aim of this action is to attract students and faculty to European universities while expanding the range of possible destinations, fostering greater openness to countries worldwide.
Participating in an ICM project allows:
- Students to earn academic credits abroad that are recognized in their home country, adding value to their CVs in terms of employability and transversal skills acquisition.
- Teaching staff to develop new skills useful for their professional growth, improve language proficiency, and learn innovative teaching methods.
- Administrative staff to learn best practices relevant to their professional development and enhance their language skills.
Eligible activities include:
- International student mobility for study, lasting from 2 to 12 months.
- International student mobility for traineeships, lasting from 2 to 12 months.
- International mobility for faculty and staff, ranging from 5 days to 2 months. Teaching staff are required to deliver a minimum of 8 teaching hours per week.
