European Policy Statement & ECHE
The ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education) is the accreditation granted by the European Commission to eligible Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that wish to participate in mobility and cooperation actions within the Erasmus+ program. Once obtained, the ECHE remains valid for the entire duration of the program.
To receive the ECHE, universities submit an application to the European Commission, ensuring compliance with the fundamental principles of the program and detailing their internationalization and modernization strategy in the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS).
The Charter:
- Establishes the fundamental principles that an institution must adhere to for the organization and implementation of high-quality mobility and cooperation;
- Specifies the requirements that the institution agrees to meet to ensure high-quality services and procedures, as well as the provision of reliable and transparent information;
- Outlines the Institutional Strategy for Internationalization and Modernization (EPS).
