The starting point for an exchange cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme is the Inter-institutional agreement, that can be signed between two or more higher education institutions (HEIs). By signing an inter-institutional agreement, the institutions involved agree to cooperate for the exchange of students and / or staff in the context of Erasmus+. They commit themselves to respecting the quality requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in all aspects of the organisation and management of mobility and agree on a series of quantitative and qualitative measures to ensure mobility of high quality and impact.
The European Commission has decided that the Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreements (KA 103), which expire in academic year 2020/21, will be automatically extended and consequently valid for an extra academic year (2021/2022) without the need to having them renewed.
Because of that, the University of Catania has set up an internal confirmation procedure which is directly managed by the relevant Department for each Agreement. Institution partners will be contacted by UniCT Department in order to manifest the willingness to prolong the existing Erasmus collaboration through a Confirmation Form wich has to be provided to UniCT by 30th September 2020.
