Pedagogical innovation
In the framework of Task 2.5 of EUNICE "Shared system of support for pedagogical innovation", the University of Catania participates in the promotion of pedagogical innovation, to develop a shared system among the ten European universities of the Alliance. The main objective is to create a pedagogical support unit to improve educational practices and enrich the teaching skills of university lecturers.
What is pedagogical innovation?
Pedagogical innovation is not a one-size-fits-all concept, but a set of practices, methodologies and tools aimed at improving student learning. It means adopting new approaches, developing teaching strategies and technological tools to make teaching more engaging and effective. It is also reflected in a lecturer's ability to support students' personal and professional deveolpment by creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment. Pedagogical innovation is also measured in the collaboration between colleagues, in the sharing of good practices and in the integration of cross-sectoral methodologies that can be applied to multiple areas of Higher Education.
