- Epidemiologicy of S. aureus (MSSA, MRSA, VISA and hVISA) and molecular typing by SCCmec, spa-typing, and MLST;
- Analysis of the molecular mechanisms responsible for antibiotic-resistance and analysis of gene and genome arrangements, in multidrug-resistant isolates;
- Evaluation of the in vitro antimicrobial and bactericidal activity of novel drugs, alone and in association, by Time-Kill curve analysis and Gradient-cross method;
- Host-pathogen interaction: study of bacterial internalization by ex-vivo models in human cell lines.
