Characterization of Bacteria with PGPPR and BCA Activity in Vitro and in Vivo
This traineeship is dedicated to the characterization of bacterial strains with plant growth-promoting (PGPPR) and biocontrol (BCA) activity, both in vitro and in vivo. Phenotypic traits related to growth promotion—such as IAA production, phosphate solubilization, and siderophore release—will be assessed. Antimicrobial activity against plant pathogens will be evaluated through targeted assays. In vitro experiments will include seed inoculation trials to observe growth enhancement and disease suppression. Molecular characterization will be carried out through sequencing of housekeeping genes to support strain identification.
