Master's Degree programmes taught in Italian

If you are a non-EU student with residency abroad and you want to enrol in a degree programme taught in the Italian language, you must prove that you have an adequate level (B2) of knowledge of the Italian language for starting university studies. You meet the Italian language requirement:

  • By submitting a valid B2 Italian language certificate
  • By passing the Italian language test  (CISIA L2)

To be admitted you should request a pre-evaluation of your previous studies before applying. The pre-evaluation form for Italian taught courses will be online from 8 April 2025 till 30 June 2025. For pre-evaluation and in order to obtain the eligibility letter you've to attach to the pre-evaluation request a copy of the ENIC/NARIC Statement of comparability for your Bachelor Degree and High School Diploma or the Declaration of value and an Italian Language Certificate, if you don't attach it to the request you admission will be under condition.

Pre-enrolment and visa application

The admission process for non-European applicants needing a visa to complete enrollment is governed by the guidelines issued annually by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) and the Ministry of the Interior. International students residing outside the EU who intend to pre-enroll must submit an online pre-enrollment request from  by 31.07.2025 by connecting to the website Universitaly Once registered, follow the procedure for international students. When you'll receive the validation of your pre enrolment request you can proceed by asking to the italian embassy in your country a Study Visa. Remind that due to high number of requests in order to secure an appintoment you should make your visa request asap.
