The admission process for non-European applicants needing a visa to complete enrollment is governed by the guidelines issued annually by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) and the Ministry of the Interior.
International students residing outside the EU who intend to pre-enroll must submit an online pre-enrollment request from by 31.07.2025 by connecting to the website Universitaly.
Once registered, follow the procedure for international students. When you'll receive the validation of your pre enrolment request you can proceed by asking to the italian embassy in your country a Study Visa. Remind that due to high number of requests in order to secure an appintoment you should make your visa request asap.
- EU and Non-EU Citizens Residing in Italy

Italian citizens and citizens from other European Union countries who have obtained a degree abroad, citizens of Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, San Marino, and non-EU citizens living in Italy for at least one year with a regular residence permit, may enroll under the same conditions as Italian citizens.
Access to the study program can be open (evaluation of curriculum requirements and skills) or restricted (requires passing an entrance exam for enrollment). In both cases, enrollment involves:
- Validation of the obtained degree
- Evaluation of curriculum requirements. The required qualifications, personal skills, and abilities vary from one program to another.
