Supramolecular chemistry: application in oxidation reactions and enantiomeric recognition
The projects deal with the synthesis and characterization (NMR, ESI-MS, UV-vis, luminescence) of new supramolecular complexes based on salen ligands incorporated in calixarene or porphyrin derivatives. The uranyl complexes of these ligands will be employed for the enantiomeric recognition of a-aminoacids, while the Manganese(III) complexes will be used as catalysts for the enantioselective epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins.
