Rethinking culture and creativity

On October 10–11, 2025, the University of Catania will host the 5th edition of "Rethinking culture and creativity", international gathering dedicated to exploring the role of culture-led regeneration and innovation processes.

The workshop brings together scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world to exchange ideas and present cutting-edge work in cultural economics and cultural management.

This year’s edition will focus on how culture and creativity can drive sustainable development, innovation, and wellbeing, with sessions covering topics such as cultural policy, heritage, tourism, digital transformation, funding of the arts, and cultural participation. By fostering dialogue across disciplines and practice, the workshop aims to strengthen the global network of experts rethinking the future of culture and creativity.

During the conference, there will be a dedicated session for case study presentations from sector experts.
