The Santander Group is an Association of European Universities with the aims of establishing special academic, cultural, and socio-economic ties and of setting up specificic and advanced facilities as well as privileged channel of information and exchange.
The Group was also created to encourage contacts between universities and their surrounding communities or regions on matters related to social and technological development.
The governing bodies of the Group are the General Assembly, the President and the Executive Committee.
The General Assembly is composed of one representative per University.
It meets once a year to develope the general policy of the Group.
